Her journey to Hamilton was arranged by the Hamilton Arts Council. At The Cotton Factory, Benno is collaborating with Smokestack Studio to create her art.
On this day, Benno and Smokestack’s Laine Groeneweg finalized a screened print of iconic locale Devil’s Punch Bowl, with Benno adding a layer of hand drawn areas to bolster her vision of ‘dystopian urban landscapes.’
Halfway through her five-week exchange, Benno has had a chance to see the city and local area, adding she likes the ‘vibe’ of both Hamilton and The Cotton Factory.
As part of the exchange, Hamilton artist Vanessa Crosbie-Ramsay will be travelling to and working in Estonia during November and December this year.
